Design Engineer

Job Description

Responsible for designing, developing, and modifying spare parts and component drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, working independently from concept to final manufacturing-ready drawings, while ensuring designs meet functional, quality, and manufacturability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models/assemblies (SolidWorks) for spare parts and components based on customer requirements, reverse engineering, or sample parts.
• Develop detailed manufacturing drawings with complete dimensions, tolerances, GD&T, and surface finish specifications.
• Modify and update existing designs based on customer feedback, field issues, or engineering change requests (ECRs/ECNs).
• Convert customer-supplied samples or rough sketches into accurate, production-ready CAD drawings.
• Prepare assembly drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and part numbering as per company standards.
• Handle design projects independently from requirement gathering through final drawing release, with minimal supervision.
• Take ownership of design accuracy, ensuring parts are functionally correct and dimensionally sound before release to production.
